MEN'S NIGHT SHELTER.

TROUBLE NOT REPEATED. VISIT BY MAGISTRATE. There was no repetition last evening of the trouble which occurred at the City Mission's night shelter on Monday evening, when a section of the men adopted a hostile attitude toward the Rev. Jasper Calder, city missioner. A particularly large number of men waited for admission in a queue.in Hobson Street before the opening of the doors. t When they entered the building the proceedings were watched by a police sergeant and several constables. The malcontents of the previous evening were not prominent and the whole procedure of filling the building was orderly. The manager, Mr. J. Wilson, addressed 'a body of men and desired them to state what grievances they had in order to "clear the. air." He received the reply that they were "not looking for trouble and did not wish to cause any." The shelter, was visited yesterday by Mr. P. K. Hunt, S.M., who made a thorough inspection of the cooking facilities and the sleeping accommodation. Mr. Hunt said he -was thoroughly satisfied with the arrangements for the men arid the way in which the mission was being managed.
