THE DAIRYING INDUSTRY.
NORTH AUCKLAND AFFAIRS. MR. GOODFELLOW AT WHANGAREI [FROSt OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] •WHANGAKEI, Monday. 'A large and representative gathering of delegates from the North Auckland dairy companies met on Saturday. An address was given by Mr. W. Goodfellow, managing director of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd. Mr. W. Grounds presided. The speaker, whose remarks were on the same lines as those given at Palmerston North, announced that the directors of Amalgamated Dairies, Ltd., and the Dairy Company had arrived at a decision that it was useless carrying on the present organisation, and would no longer handle supplies from individual associated factories. At the same time Amalgamated Dairies would be quite prepared to assist in any way in a national effort for group marketing. > • Mr. Goodfellow answered a number of questions, and received a vote of thanks.
