REPORTS OF MANAGERS. Moanataiari. —The battery was run for 33 hours with five heads of stamps and yielded 40oz. of amalgam. No picked stone was crushed. During the week the stopo between the junction on the liangingwall reef and the end of ground south has been put in working order, and next week Ave will bo in a position to secure a regular supply of ore from this portion of the mine. About 51b. of picked stone were selected from tho ore broken when squaring up the stope. Wo are also getting a block o£ ore from the shaft to the junction of the liangingwall and footwall reefs in sloping order. Necessary repairs had to bo done in the east crosscut and riso to Kidds level.
OPERATIONS IN THE SOUTH. Blackwater Mines (Inangahua).—June return is as follows: —Crushed 4080 tons, yielding 1677 fine ounces of gold, valued at £7122. Working expenses, £5277. Furnace treated 85 tons of concentrates for 137 fine ounces of gold valued at £580; working expenses, £123. Working profit, £2302. Development expenditure £694, and capital expenditure £150; net profit, £1458.
