COALITION.
Sir, —There is a great difference between a "National Government" (i.e., a coalition) and government by a so-called National Pavf /. Whether the business men wanted a National Government or whether they wanted government by a "National Party" is a matter for them to mako clear. But certainly Mr. Forbes did not propose the formation of 1 a National Government (Coalition Government). What he proposed was something quite different —tho disbanding of the Reform and United Parlies, so that those of their members who wished, together with the Independents, might form an entirely new party to bo known as a National or Nationalist Party. But the amalgamation of two parties to form a new party—even though it may be named a "National Party"—is certainly not the same thing as the formation of a "National Government." Malvernian.
