CHARGE OF MURDER.

NEWTON WOMAN'S DEATH. HEARING ON THURSDAY. A further remand to Thursday was granted by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday in the case in which Pahara Rameka Kere, aged 31, a Maori labourer (Mr. Noble), is charged with murder. Accused, who is also known as George Rameka, is alleged to have fatally stabbed a married woman, Gwendoline Alice Johnson, aged about 38, at Newton on Juno 24. In asking for the adjournment Detec-tive-Sergeant Kelly said the police would be able lo proceed with the hearing of the case on Thursday.
