ORANGEMEN'S PARADE.
JULY 12 ANNIVERSARY.
PITT STREET CHURCH SERVICE. About 400 members of the Orange lodges of the Auckland district took part in the annual July 12 celebrations of the institution yesterday afternoon. A parade of members of the No. 2 district lodge left the Orange Hall, Newton Road, at 2.30 p.m., headed by the St. Andrew's Pipe Band, and assisted by the Onehunga Citizens' Band, a Union Jack being borne at the head of the procession. Those who took part wore the regalia, of the lodge and a largo bannw recalling the battle of the Boyne occupied a prominent position. Women and cliildren, also wearing the insignia, took part in the parade. The column marched down S.ymonds Street and through Karangahape Road to the Pitt l Street Methodist Church, whero a large congregation took part in a special service. Brother J. Elliott, district master, was in charge of the parade and with him were members of the grand lodge.
The service was conducted by the Rev. F. E. Leadlcy, minister of the Onehunga Methodist Church, and prayers were offered by the Rev. M. A, Gilmour, of Edendale Presbyterian Church. The ad dress was given by the Rev. W. Walker, minister of the Pitt. Street Church. The celebrations will be continued on Wednesday evening with a social in the Orange Hall.
