MOTOR-BOAT RECORD.
KAYE DON IN ITALY. Ilo£ MILES AN HOUR. LONDON, July 9. Mr. Kaye Don to-day achieved the world's record speed of 110.25 miles an hour iu the speed-boat Miss England 11. on Lake Garda. Mr. Kaye Don, who was a famous racing motorist, with many records to his credit, established the prior record of 103.49 land miles at Buenos Aires on April 2 in Miss England 11. Tho record till then had been 100.2 miles an hour, done by Mr. Gar Wood (America), who beat the late Sir Henry Segrave's speed of 98.6 miles an hour, done on Lake Windermere last year in Miss England 11, when the craft capsized ana he was killed.
