APPLE CHUTNEY.
To every lb. of apples allow £lb. c-f cnions, Jib. figs, tomatoes, £|b. sugar, raisins, two tablespoonfuls salt, "one tabiespoonful each of ground ginger and mustard seeds, one teaspoonful turmeric, one saltspoonfuj cayenne, and one pint vinegar. Pass all through a mincing machine and boil for an hour. Bottle and store in a dry place. (Very good.)
