THREEPENCE FOR FOURPENCE.
"How much will you give me for these?" asked a woman in a West London bank recently, emptying a bag of Victorian fgurpenny pieces on the counter. The coins were dated 1854, and the cashier eave the woman threepence each for them. A young man who was cashing a cheque immediately put down sixpence m exchange for two of the old coins.
