The monthly meeting of the Northcote Women's Progressive League, held in the parish hall, was well attended.'; The. president. Mrs. D. P. O'Leary, who occupied the chair, received a cordial welcome after her recent illness.

The lecturer was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and appreciation at the clpse of his informative talk.
