ALLEGED THEFT OF £SO.
MONEY FROM INDIAN'S HUT. MAORI WOMEN CHARGED. [from our own correspondent.] PTTKEKOHE, Friday. A sequel to the disappearance of £52 in notes from an Indian's hut at Pukekohe yesterday morning was the appearance of two young Maori women, Ana Hana Kawhi and Emily Coffee in the Pukekohe Police Court to-day. They were charged with the theft of the notes. Mr. D. R. Hamilton, J.P., was on ethft Bench.
On the application of Sergeant Cowan, they were remanded to appear at Pukekohe on Thursday. Bail was allowed at £2O and one surety of £2O in the case of each accused.
