LAND FOR NEW ZEALANDERS.
Sir,—l would like to ask if it is considered a fair thing fo bring boys out to New Zealand, while boys born here, and willing to work, cannot get it to do. Do the mothers of New Zealand have to join lip and say New Zealand for New Zealandhorn for the next 10 years or so 1 I have heard that every native child is granted three acres of land free of rent and taxes. Why not do likewise to every white child who does not already possess land ? This would at least give them a piece to put a hut on, and live rent free, if it should be only a canvas one. It would also spread tho population more, and surely the Government has enough idle land going to waste to cut up. I have a family of eight, and would be very glad of three acres, anywhere, and would soon help myself to a living, if only a vegetable one, which is better than starving in the town. Grandmother.
