The High Commissioner for New Zealand in London advises as follows: — Hemp: Manila market is qweb but firm; "K" grade June to August shipment, £l7; August to October shipment sold at £l7 10s a ton. The sisal market is quiet but steady. No. 1 fair average _ quality, Juno to August shipment, £ls 10s; JNo. 2 £l4 10s: good marks, 5s more. Tna New Zealand market is very quiet, with little more offering. Nominal value is on the basis of fair, £lB 10s June to August shipment; no. first-band. sale% reported*
