AUCKLAND CABARETS.

PETER PAN. An air of cheery comfort pervaded the Peter Pan Cabaret on Saturday evening, and a large number of dancers attended. The delightful dance numbers played by the Peter Pan Orchestra were very much appreciated. The cubicles and supper room were bright with golden shaded Iceland poppies, and graceful palms bordered the dance floor. DIXIELAND. Dixieland has not been so gay for some time as it was on Saturday night, when the cabaret was thronged with dancers. Flowers and palms decorated the entrance and the dance hall, making the scene one of colour and brightness. Among those present were:—Mrs. Neville Pountney, who wore black lace and ring velvet; Mrs. Morton, wine satin; Miss Peacock, blue satin; Miss C. Wells, black georgette; Miss B. Harris, pink floral taffeta; Miss I. Harris, parchment taffeta; Miss Johnstone, green taffeta; Miss E. Hudson, peach satin; Miss Greta Miller, black taffeta and net; Miss Bartley, black lace and llesh ninon; Miss Thompson, gold lace frock; Miss A. Jones, ivory satin and lace; .Miss Robertson, black satin beaute; Miss Gray, gold lace over gold lame; Miss Thomas, gold brocaded lace frock; Miss Edwards, ivory lace; Miss Graham, pink georgette; Miss Leach, pink panne velvet; Miss Bailey, green embossed georgette.

MISS SPENCER'S DANCE. Multi-coloured lights and sprays of imitation pohutukawa blossoms mad 9 attractive decoi-ations 'at the Symondsville Studio on Saturday night, when Miss Spencer held her weekly dance. The Mayfair Orchestra supplied the latest dance numbers. Among those present were; — Mrs. Spencer, green and black frock with roso pink taffeta coatee; Miss Spencer, black lace and georgette with sky blue satin wrap; Miss Marjorie McKenzie, raven's .wing blue georgette; Miss A. Stewart, shell pink crepe 'do chine and georgette and shaded hand-made flowers; Miss Nellie Dyson, primrose satin with overdress of net; Miss G. Simpson, flounced carnation pink taffeta; Miss Mary Scotland, ivory tulle with skirt banded with maize yellow taffeta and taffeta coatee; Miss Wainc, black floral taffeta; Miss M. Thompson, ivory white satin and white georgette; Miss E. King, blush pink georgette, with frills of moonlight blue lace; Miss D. King, petunia georgette and blue lace; Miss Marjorie Rowe, maize yellow satin and georgette; Miss G. Buchardt, lido blue taffeta with flesh pink net; Miss Hope-Johnstone, deep wine satin; Miss Wood, forget-me-not-blue satin and georgette; Miss V. Osmond, flared salmon pink georgette; Miss G. Dell, black lace over pink crepe de chine, and silver lame coatee; Miss Hemus, ivory georgetto and lace; Miss E. Nichol, black georgette find lace; Miss Abbott, lilac georgette with deep orange georgette.

CIVIC WINTERGARDENS. Howls of early narcissi made attractive decorations at the Civic Wintorgardens on Saturday evening and soft lighting effects showed to advantage tho many pretty frocks that were worn. Among those who were present were:— Mrs. A. D. Reid, who wore a frock of primrose satin appliqucd with coloured flowers on the hemline; Miss Fay Camp I tell, floral ninon in pastel shades; Miss D. Cook, buttercup georgette and gold lace; Miss E. Deck, gold lame; Miss Bowman, cardinal reel georgette; Miss D. White, caterpillar green boulline and floral trimmings; Miss P. McDonald, electric blno ninon with fischo net hem; Miss M. Pierce, cyclamen satin beaute and diamante trimming; Miss Lees, saracen red taffeta and black panne wrap; Miss E. Kelly, ivory georgette and gold lace; Miss G. Jones, Lido blue floral ninon and coatee of ivory chenillo georgette; Miss Edna Lincoln, autumn-tinted ninon; Miss Molly Lincoln, bois do rose cvepe de chine and wrap to tone: Miss Dorothy Wallen, royal blue ehantillv lace, natural posy of flowers on shoulder; Miss Magill, palm green moire taffeta; Miss McKenzie, peach floral satin and silver lace; Miss Sanford, black beaded georgette.
