BAR-BOUND VESSELS.

DELAY AT GREYMOUTH. PORT WORKABLE AGAIN. The port of Grey mouth was workable yesterday for the first time for 18 days, during which period the six Union Company's steamers, Kaimai, Kaponga, Kartigi, Kiri, Kiwitea and Poolta, were barbound. The delay was caused through the bar having shoaled 6ft. owing to boisterous weather. Five of the steamers are loaded with coal for New Zealand ports and the Poolta has a timber cargo for Brisbane. The vessels' prolonged delay has interfered considerably with the supply of coal, of which stocks have been depleted for some time. After their long stay in port the vessels were despatched (o their various destinations yesterday morning.
