BAYONETS AS CONDUCTORS.

Lightning recently struck the bayonets of two soldiers in military exercises at Nyireghyhaza, in Hungary. Both men were instantly killed. When an oil-boring tower at Bevern, near Hamburg, was struck by lightning an overseer was killed and thrco workmen seriously injured. Children in a circus at Schlieben, near Halle, were panic-stricken when lightning struck the tower and set a church on fire. The circus people successfully fought the flames.
