Hellaby) is fortunate in. having 1 three of her pictures • hung. The first is a Fijian landscape, the second a- harvest £ scene of England, and the third an Italian f orchard. Mrs. Eleanor Hughes ■ cont.ru 1 butes two French landscapes,. "Over, tha 1 Roofs, Tarascon," and "Alpine Valley.'* \ " Mr. Oswald Birley, portrait painter, haa 5 two portraits, both well placed: One is a. pleasing full-length study of his wife'in profile, and the other is entitled. "The Fencer." The latter subject is considered to bear a marked likeness to ex-King Alfonso. Mr., W. H. Wright, a sculptor of tha Elam School of Art, Auckland, contribute® a bust, "Louise," which has called forth favourable comment. Mr. Wright is tha most distant of this year's exhibitors. The Wellington etcher Mr. H. Thompson is represented by two interesting contributions, "Half-past Seven," and* » chalk drawing, "Kowkab." y -
