CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—Except for light showers experienced late on Saturday night th» weather was fine during the week-end. Bright sunshine prevailed during the day, but the light southerly wind niado the conditions very cold during the night. The barometer continued rising yesterday and registered 30.55 in. last ni§ht. Wellington.—The city enjoyed a clear and crisp week-end with bright sunshine on Saturday and Sunday. A cool northerly breeze blew on Saturday morning, turning to the south in tha afternoon.
