WEEK-END WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—Except for light showers experienced late on Saturday night th» weather was fine during the week-end. Bright sunshine prevailed during the day, but the light southerly wind niado the conditions very cold during the night. The barometer continued rising yesterday and registered 30.55 in. last ni§ht. Wellington.—The city enjoyed a clear and crisp week-end with bright sunshine on Saturday and Sunday. A cool northerly breeze blew on Saturday morning, turning to the south in tha afternoon. Sunday -was a beautiful day, th® wind being light but very cold. Christchurcli. —A heavy south-westerly gale blew on Saturday. The weather yesterday was beautifully fine. Snow has fallen on the high country. Dunedin.—The weather was very wintry and unsettled on Saturday with frequent showors and cold temperatures, the maximum bemg 45deg. The wind was fresh from the south-west. Sunday was beautifully fine and calm with an unclouded sky, the temperature at. noon reading 52dcg. The barometer was rising.
