OBITUARY.
CANON H. B. HARVEY. LONDON. Juno 2. The death has occurred of Canon H. B. Harvey, formerly vicar of l'almerston North. Canon Henry Bache Harvey was at Cambridge University and was ordained in 1886. He held various incumbencies in England and was vicar of Palmcrston North from 1887 to 1895. Since then ho had been at Twerton-on-Avon and at St. Augustine's, - Swindon. Canon _ Harvey was one of tho small band of churchmen who were responsible for the early development of Wanganui Collegiate School on tho lines indicated bv Bishop George Augustus Selwvn, who set aside a large tract of land for the purpose. A house at the college is named after Canon, Harvey, other houses being named after Sir Georgo Grey and Bishop Selwyn, who wore interested in tho development of the school.
