YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—The weather in Auckland yesterday was fair, and although the sky remained dull and overcast throughout the day there was no rain. The barometer stood at 31).20in., rising very gradually during the evening to 30.25 in. at midnight. Wellington.—Beautiful weather was experienced yesterday. The sun was warm and bright. A light north wind was blowing. Christchurch.—A glorious day followed a frost of lOdeg. yesterday morning. The wind was from the north-east. The temperature was not warm, the maximum being 51deg. The barometer fell, the reading in the evening being 30.05in-. Dunedin.—Following a clear cold night with several degrees of frost, the weather was bright and sunny yesterday with a light breeze from the north-east. The maximum temperature was 57deg. The barometer showed little movement and. registered 29.95 in. -
