WIN FOR HAWKE'S BAY. DEFEAT OF WAIRARAPA. [by TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] NAPIER, Wednesday. In the first Rugby representative fixture of the season in Napier, Hawke's Bay defeated Wairarapa by 27 points to 13 in a fast, open game at McLean Park, before an attendance of about 5000. Tho match held particular interest as a test of the strength of the Hawke's Bay tenm. Wairarapa crossed the home team's line only once, tho balance of its score being compiled from two penalties and a fieM goal. Both sets of backs worked together well but tho home side was superior in both divisions. A, E. Cooke once again played for Hawke'B Bay and gavo a sterling display, saving many dangerous situations by splerudid line-kicking. WELLINGTON CLUB GAMES. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.
