YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—The weather was fine yesterday, but showery in the evening. Tho conditions were cold owing to the wind having changed to the south-west. Tho barometer all day and registered 30.20 in. last night. Wellington.—The weather was again fine, the sun shining brightly throughout the day. The wind was light from tlio north. Christchurch.—The weather was clear and sunny, with a light breeze from the north-east. The maximum temperature was 51 degrees. Ten degrees of frost were registered in the morning. The barometer moved up four points during tha day and in the evening recorded 30.09 in. lYie night was clear and frosty. Dunedin.—The weather was pleasantly fine and warm, with a.light wind from the south-west. The barometer showed little movement, the .reading iu the evening being 30.0Cin.
