WAIPU PRESBYTERIANS.
FAREWELL TO MINISTER. A social was held in the Presbyterian Church. Waipu, 011 Friday evening to bid farewell to the Rev. 0. W. Blair and Mrs. Blair, who are leaving the district. There was a large attendance, over which Mr. T) IT. McKenzie presided. Miss June. Maisey, on behalf of the Sunday School teachers and scholars, presented Mrs. Blair with a cushion, and Mrs. J. P. McKay, handed her a handbag and money from the ladies of the Women's Mutual Union and Guild. The chairman presented Mr. Blair with an ebony goldmounted walking stick. Mr. Blair preached his farewell sermon last evening, and leaves for the South this week to supply a congregation for a. few months.
