WOMEN AND UNEMPLOYMENT.
Sir, —Your correspondent "Employed N.Z. Woman," is right in her opinion that the only practical method of raising money to deal with tho matter of unemployment of women and girls is to col Inct it from those now in work. This means including women under the Unemployment Act, as requested last year liy u meeting organised by Miss A. Bastpn, and for seveial mouths past bv tho New Zealand section of the Women's International League It is to be hoped that the plans shortly to be made public by Hie Minister of Labour include the extension of the provisions of the Act to women on the same terms as to men.
