YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH,
Auckland.—The weather yesterday was changeable, being showery in the morning and fine in the afternoon and evening. A light breeze was blowing from tho west, and the barometer was practically steady at 30.10 in.
Wellington.—After heavy rain in tho morning, tho weather was fine with s southerly wind. Toward evening the wind dropped and light rain fell later.
Christchurch.—The weather was dull with a few showers in the morning. The wind was light from the south-west. The maximum temperature was 54 degrees. -The barometer, after being steady all day, commenced to rise in the evening, when tho reading was 30.00 in. Dunedin.—Following a mild night, tha weather was unsettled. There were frequent showers throughout the day. The wind was light from the south-west. Ih® barometer showed little movement, tbf reading in the evening being 29.90 in.
