PRESENTATIONS.

A presentation of a silver tea servico and a canteen' of cutlery suitably engraved was maMc to Mr. Jj. E. Rhodes, the ex-Mayor ol Mount Albert, and Mrs. Rhodes, by the Mount Albert Municipal Officers' Social Club. Replying, Mr. Rhodes referred to the spirit of co-opera-tion which bud always existed between him and the sfliff and said lie trusted the same would bo extended to tho liew Mayor, Mt. W. F. Stilwell. Auckland representatives of the Council of Fire and Accident Underwriters' Associations of New Zealand, headed by tho vice-president, Mr. T. E. Miller, waited upon Mr. 11. Walklcy, who recently retiied from the position of manager for New Zealand for the London and Lancashire Fire Insurance Company, Limited, and presented him, on behalf of his colleagues of the council, with a sterling silver tea and coffee service. Mr. Walk Icy recently received a presentation froni tna Auckland Fire and Accident Underwriters' Association. ' A presentation to Inspector W. Eccles, who' has been transferred to Dunedin as superintendent, was made by the members of the Hamilton police force. In presenting Mr. and Mrs. Lccles with an afternoon tea set. Senior-Sergeant J. Sweenev referred to the happy relations which had existed in the Hamilton force during Inspector Eeoles' three arid a-hali years' service. DetoctivcSergoanl J. Thompson, Sergeant C. Harley and Sergeant T. Moriarty also spoke in appreciation.
