NEW LABOUR SPLIT.
new south wales members. REFUSAL TO SIGN PLEDGE. (Received May 18, 1.15 a.m.) SYDNEY. May IT. The Premier of New South Wales, Mr. J. T. Lang, and a few of his colleagues have gone to Brisbane to expound Mr. Lang's financial plan, about which little is now heard. In the State executive quarters an attempt is being made to compel the allegiance of Labour members of the State Legislative Council. They have refused to sign a pledge to support this plan, and thus another breach in the Labour ranks has occurred.
