THEFT BY MAORI.
SUIT OF CLOTHES TAKEN.
A Maori, Rangi Marsden, aged 28, who was arrested on Saturday morning, pleaded guilty in the Police Court later to the theft of a suit of clothes, valued at £2, from Baron Cohen.
Detective-Sergeant Kelly stated that accused, who had been drinking, took tho suit from outside a second-hand shop in Hobson Street on Friday evening. Accused was fined £2, in default seven days' imprisonment. A week was allowed for tho payment of the fine.
