OPENING AT PAPATOETOE.
The Pnpatoetoe Badminton Club opened its season during the week-end, when a large number of members and visitors and representatives of other clubs gathered in the Pnpatoetoe Town llnil. 1 lie president of the club, Dr. A. B. Jameson, we.eomed the visitors The first shuttle was stiuck by Mrs. A. G. Orinler. A tournament followed nnd prizes were won by Miss G. Orinler, Mrs. D. Lastten and Mrs. Phillson. All exhibition Kjune was plnyed by Mr Martyn. Miss Q. 1 lullson and Messrs D. James and Self. Supper wus served at, the conclusion of play by the lacliea of the club.
