HARRIER RACING.
COMBINED CLUBS' EVENT. Members of the University and Technical Old Boy 3' Harrier Clubs visited the Calliope Harrier Club on Saturday and took part in a run over a course of five miles. The field was the largest seen in Auckland for some time, numbering about 60. The harriers divided into two packs, the slower ones starting five minutes later than the faster runners. The run-in, which was held over about 440 yds of road, resulted as follows:—J. Silvester (Calliope), 1; T. C. Barker (Technical), Q: A. C. Ilill (Technical), 3: C. R. Newlon-King (University), 4; G. Sceats (University), 5; R. G. Kirkwood (Technical), G. The Calliope Club will hold two ruces next Saturday, one being for novices, over a course of 2J miles.
