The derating of farm lands was urged by a representative deputation of farmeis which waited on the Waitomo County Council at its meeting this week. The council was sympathetic and it was decided to write to the Farmers' Union, from whom the deputation originated, stating that the council was fully alive to the situation, that it had advocated derating for some time past, and that it would continue to do so.
