UNIQUE ACHIEVEMENTS
Experts agree that Olaurleife Colbert has a unique dual achievement—she can laugh while speaking lines, and she can weep too well for lier makeup. While she was recently making Para mount's " Honour Among Lovers " opposite Fretlric March, the " monitor-man " noticed an unusual trait, which ho had observed in no other actress; she could actually chuckle while delivering a line, whereas other actresses have had to wait until the speech is delivered before laughing. During an emotional scene the.director, Dorothy Arzner, begged tier not to take ifc to heart so much, because her realistic tears were ruining her facial make-up and compelling them to take the scene over again after the mascara dripped down from her eyes.
