CONTROL OF WRESTLING.
DECISION IN END OF LONG DISPUTE. [BT TELEGRAPH.—rRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Monday. With the approval given this .evening by a special general meeting of the Wellington Wrestling Association to a scheme for amalgamation already approved by the New Zealand Wrestling Association, Wellington Division, the dispute over wrestling control camo to an end. Henceforth there will be only ono association controlling wrestling bouts in Wellington instead of two rival ones. The amalgamation puts tho sport virtually under the control of a singlo body from one end of New Zealand to tho other.
The chairman, Mr. 11. D. Bennett, explained that the meeting had been called to approve or reject the terms of settlement agreed to by tho New Zealand Association and tho Wellington Wrestling Association executive. He moved that the basis of settlement be approved and the motion was carried without dis' sent.
In this way settlement of a long dispute was effected.
