WEEK-END ACCIDENTS.
FOOTBALLERS INJURED.
SEVERAL CASES REPORTED
Injuries were received by several football players on Saturday. Playing at Carlaw Park, \Ray McKinnon, pf the Richmond senior team, received a fracture of the left leg. He was taken to the hospital by the St. John Ambulance, and returned to his home after receiving treatment. J. Bell, who •was playing in a Rugby League match at Western Springs Park, had his left shoulder /dislocated.
A dislocation of tho right shoulder was received by Keith McLeod, aged 21, of 14, Gladwin Road, Epsom. Walter Maddren,/ aged 18, of 52, Collingwood Street, Ponsonby, was admitted to (ho hospital suffering from concussion of tho brain. His condition is not serious.
AGED MAN HUET BY FALL. GIRL/KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR. As tho result of a fall in Myers Park cn Saturday evening, Mr. Henry Walker, aged 73, of 45, St. Paul's Street, City, received , injuries to tho head. He was admitted to the Auckland Hospital, and Lis condition was stated last evening to Le fairly serious. Injuries to the head were also suffered by Valda, Woolley, aged 10, whose parents reside at, 13, York Street, Parnell, as the result of being knocked down by a motorcar at the coiner of Parnell Road and Stanley Street on Saturday morning. The injured girl was removed to the Auckland Hospital.t t Her condition is not.serious. A fracture of fhe right leg was received by Mr. James Miller, of Tc liana, Wellsfr id., who was struck while playing hockey there on Saturday. 110 was admitted to the Auckland Hospital in the evening.
