Malone. was recontlv declared bankrupt; at Rutherglen, Scotland, owing loathe (loath of (he Labour member, Mr. VV. Wright: :it Scarborough, where the ( onservalive member, Captain Sidney Herbert, has resigned; at. Ogmore. owing to the death of Air. Vernon Hartshorn, who was formerly Lord Privy Seal in the. Labour Ministry; and at Wolverhampton West, owing to the resignation of the Labour member. Mr. W. J. brown. Sir Frank Nelson, who is retiring from his seat at Stroud, was first elected m 1924. He was for many years m India, and was president. <>l the Associated Chambers of Commerce, of India and CVvlon. and a member of the Bombay Legislative Council. He visited Australia in 1027 with the Empire Pallia inentai'Y Helegation.
