BANKRUPT LABOURER.
UNABLE TO PAY FOR HOUSE.
[from our own correspondent.] HAMILTON, Saturday. A petition in bankruptcy has been filed by Percy John Anniss, labourer, I'rankton, and bankrupt wai examined by the official assignee, Mr. V. R. Crowluirst, to day. There were no creditors present. The schedule submitted showed that debts totalled £2OO, including £l6O due to the Strtte Advances Ojgip. . Assets were valued at £B, leaving-a deficiency of £192. Bankrupt said that four years ago lie bought a house at Frankton from the State Advances Office. He paid £IUU deposit. He kept the' instalments paid _ for a year or more and then, owing unemployed relatives coming to live wi him, his payments fell into arrears and finally he had to abandon the hou'e. Other creditors pressed lam forced to file. His earnings weic " sufficient to enable him to make an oflor.
