STUDENTS' SERVICES.
DAY OF UNIVERSAL PRAYER. A day (if universal prayer Cor students and institutions of learning was observed yesterday by members and friends of the New Zealand Student Christian Movement. There was a gathering at the Auckland University in the afternoon and a special service in St. David's Presbyterian Church in the evening. A record attendance took part in the afternoon gathering and tea, at which an address was given by the Rev. George Jackson. There were unique features about the evening service, which was wholly eonducted by representative students. The main address was given by Mr. A. Miller, president of the University College Christian Union, who spoke of the claims of the movement upon students. Mr. Ramsay JJowie, travelling secretary of the New Zealand Student Christian Movement, spoke briefly of the work of the Student Federation. The special intercessions for the day were led by Mr. D. Mcintosh, president of the Training College Christian Union, and two Scriplure lessons were read by Miss B. Archibald. woman president of the University College Union, and the other by Miss T. Johnston, woman president of the Training College Union.
