INCOME TAX RETURNS.

Three prosecutions brought by the Taxation Department against Jack Makovina, a, restaurant proprietor, alleging that he had failed to in income tax returns, were heard in the Police Court yesterday before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. Mr. Hubble represented the department, and Mr. Kealy appeared on behalf of accused. Mr. Habble said that Makoviaa had sent in no returns until last year, when he filed cne himself. The amount was so high that investigations were made, and it was found that defendant shonld have paid £1034 in the past 10 years. It was a bad case
