FAST MOTOR-BOAT.
NEW YORK, April 10
A message, from Miami Beach says Mr. Gar Wood to-day came within .43 of a mile an hour of equalling Mr. Kayo Don's speed-boat record, in Miss America IX. The two fastest of his six runs were the fourtl) and fifth, the speeds being 102.89 and 103.249 miles an hour respectively. Fouled spark plugs caused the conclusion of the efforts for the day.
