A DEFINITE RECOVERY. INCREASE IN EXPORTS. (Received April 17, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, April 16. The Department of Commerce announces that the foreign trade of the United States in March increased by nearly £10,000,000 to a total of about £100,000,000. Mr. Roger Babson, a prominent statistician, has advised the President, Mr. Hoover, that business in the States has definitely improved, and he says he would not be surprised to see a shortage of labour before the end of the year in certain lines of industry.
