THE MORNING BATH.
The regular morning bath is a tonic to the whole system. r lTie action of soap and wafer on t/ho skin is itself a powerful aid to health. The cold after-sponge Js stimulating, while the subsequent towelling messages the muscles, and, by I invigorating the flow of blood to every v P a rt, stimulates the intestinal organs to a vigorous performance of their duties. In most towns there are public baths, a nd in most homes there is a bathroom. But. in some households the firmly-rooted convention tha/ the weekly hot bath constitutes its sob sufficient purpose still I holds firm. This is partly due, no doubt, to the supreme discomfort ordinarily associated with the bathroom, dark and draughty and/ cold, except when the Steaming bath has warmed it. Up-to-date home'planning, however, is rising to its opportunity, nnd the bathroom is approximating to some degree of comfort and attractiveness.
