EXHUMATION REFUSED.

REQUEST BY A SISTER. There is to bp, no exhumation —at least so far as the British Attorney-General is concerned —of the body of the brother of Miss May Broadbridge, of Chichester. Mr. Broadbridgo died in April, 1926, of shot wounds, and at tho inquest a verdict of " suicido " was returned. Miss Broadbridge, who maintained that his death was an accident, has made repeated requests for an exhumation in the hope of obtaining a reversal of the verdict. In answer to her application to the Attorney-General, Miss Broadbridge received a letter stating, "It would bo quito impossible at this length of time to get the court to quash the inquest held on April 20, 1926, and to order a fresh inquest. " Moreover, tho Attoney-General is aware that one of his predecessors, after careful consideration, came to tho conclusion in August, 1927, that no case had been made out to justify an application to the court, and there is nothing in your letter to lead him to differ from this decision.'''
