LADIES' CLUB AT POKENO.
[FROII OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] POKENO, Friday.
A ladies' hockey club has been formed in the Pokeno district this season under the title of Pokeno United, and the club intends to compete in tho 1' ranklin Hockey Association's competitions, which start with a seven-a-sido tournament at Waiuku on May 2. The club has elected tho following officers: —Patron, Mr. F. Kelsall; president, Mrs. F. Pope; vice-presidents, Messrs. Grover, Allison, and Mcllroy; secretary, Miss M. Leathern; club captain, Miss D. Mcllroy; committee, Misses E. McElroy, M. Woodcock; M. Kelsall, E. Pendergrasfc and J. Mackie; coach, Mrs. Grover.
