BOXING.
MONDAY EVENING'S CONTEST.
Spectacular fighting should be seen at the Town Hall on Monday evening when Archie Hughes, New South Wales featherweight champion, will meet Tommy Donovan, the New Zealand title-holder in a 15 rounds contest. Both men are in excellent condition, and one of the best feather-weight fights seen in Auckland for years is expected. The men are fighters rather than boxers and the winner will have to show his best form. The Northern Boxing Association has reduced the charges in order to meet the times, 1000 seats at, 2s 6d being available, while tho scats iri the front stalls and circle will cost ss, with a charge of Is extra for reservations. These prices have met with the approval of patrons, and sales so far indicate a packed house. The fight will not be broadcast.
