THE ROVER COMPANY OF NEW ZEALAND LTD., FACTORY DEPOT, WELLINGTON Rover "10"—"the car that beat&the Limited to Auckland"—' has now set up a further remarkable record. A stock 4- , door saloon, under observation by the Auckland Automobile Association, driven by Mr. P. J. Williams of Auckland, ran 1577 miles for the low cost of £4/17/6 —covering all running expenses—and at an average of 34 miles per gallon. ' The test was conducted with the object of finding just how far the Rover "10" would run for an expenditure of less than £5/-/-. The starting point was Wellington, left on March 19th, and the route taken was via New Plymouth to Auckland, thence to 90-Mile Beach and far North, and return to Auckland. From here the route lay to Hamilton, Rotorua, Taupo, Napier (over earthquake district roads), and Wellington was reached again on March 29th. During the entire trip, despite the most rigorous driving conditions (chains had to be used through the notorious Dome Valley,. North Auckland) the tyres and toolkit remained untouched, no adustments of any kind were made, and no water added to the radiator. Where else will you find such economy . . . coupled with perfect comfort, fine performance and road dignity . . • as in this Rover "10"? Inspect the "10" models at your nearest distributor's.
