The Hawera Trotting Club'a meeting was concluded to-day in dull but fine weather. There was. n .fair- aMendance and the trade was fast. Great Parrish demonstrated by his decisive win in thA Waimate Plains Handicap at the Ilawera meeting to-day that with better luck on Saturday he would have been prominent in the finish for the cup. Rollo was a better favourite than the Mangere horse, who wan always well placed. Arachne led at the mile , from Exolosion. Major Lind, Great Parrish (on the rails). El Direct and Rollo, but the leader was done with at the turn, where Major Lind, Great Parrish, El Direct. Happy Land and Rollo were togother. Paul's horse camo right away and won' well from Happy Land. Rollo was third, followed by El Direct, Major Lind. Dillon Logan, who get a tad run, and Enawah.

.Two breaks cost Biddy Pnrrish the race in the Optinnke Trot. Speculator, who was the only one, with the exception of "VVimmcra Kins, to trot steadily', won and paid a fine price. Great Glee headed Winimera King on the post for second place.'

Dan Direct was again favourite in the mile race, but although he raced more generously than on Saturday, he failed to beat Tumatakuru, who was always handy and finished full of running. Major Lind showed a great burst of speed to be in front at the turn, but faded away at the end. Produced again in the Kaponga Handicap Dan Direct came homo easily after being patiently driven by Newdick. Jewel Elect ran a good race to beat the rest, with Wakefield third.

Happy Land won the final event oasiiv and .was nt n short price. Nella Dillon looked a winner at the distance, but was beaten into third place, Bello Lorrimer finishing with a good burst to get second. Impromptu, a warm favourite, won the Trial Handicap easily, registering 3m 213 a. Highland Derby tuckled the Tamahere borae in tho straight, but made 110 impression. The winner put up a track record.

Finoro and King's Guard, favourites for tho Ohawe Trot, broke ladly leaving in outsider, La Campiono, driven by an exAucklandcr, W. Dwyer, well in tho lead to win easily. Shn paid close on a Quarter of a century. Prince Pedro recorded his first, victory when he won tlip Kapini Handicap. Always well placed. McMillan took the lead in the straight to win nicely. Kev.-pieV Triumph made a big final effort, but failed at the post.

Aticklunders had a good day with Impromptu, Prince Pedro, Great. Pnrrish and Dan Direct in winning form. Impromptu won so well that lie should have further successes u* New Plymouth.
