Mrs. B. East, of Wellington, is staying at Hotel Stoiichurst. Mrs. E. G. Pollock, of Fcilding, is spending Easter in Auckland. Mrs. R. W. Patching, of London, is staying at" Hotel Stonchurst. Miss Annie Grieve, of Timaru, is spend- . ing a fortnight in Auckland. Mr. Justice Blair and Mrs. Blair are spending Easter at Rotorua. Miss Eileen Courtenay, of Wellington, is spending a few days in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Sponcer Mason are spending the legal vacation at Lake Taupo. Mrs. J. E. Close, of Mahoe, Clifton Road, Takapuna, is visiting Whangarei. Mrs. R. H. Cowan, of Remuera, is at present on a visit to the Te Awanmtu district. The Misses Moran, of Bidwell Street, Wellington, are visitors to N Auckland for the races. Mrs. J. P. Wilson, of Maunu, Whangarei, is visiting her sister, Mrs. J. T. G. Cox, of Remuera. Mrs. L. Rathbone, who has been staying at Waingaro, is visiting Auckland and is at Hotel Cargen. Miss Ivitty Knight, who has been visiting Mrs. Grey Colbeck, of Christchurch, leaves to-day on her return to the North. Commander Y. A. C. Crutchley and Mrs. Crutchley have taken Mr. J. Crawford's house at llerctaunga, Wellington, for some weeks. c? The Hon. Mrs. Peters, of London, is visiting Auckland and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Idicns, all of Auckland. Visitors staying at Hotel Cargen include:—Mrs. Ward and Miss Ward, of Wellington; Mrs. E. Rowe, Christchurch; Mrs. It. T. Reid, Hamilton; Mrs. Hart, Wellington; Mrs. R. Barclay-Smith, of Wellington; Miss McLeod and the Misses P. and C. McLeod, of Martinborough; Mrs. J. Hardy, Martinborough: Mrs. J. Bichards, Gisborne; Miss D. Muir, Tc Awamutu; Mrs. P. Harkness, of Hamilton. The Women's Progress Club (Inc.). held its weekly meeting on Thursday afternoon at the Higher Thought Temple, Wellington Street. Several members spoke on various aspects of the teaching received at the club during the past year, and bore testimony to its practicability and the successful results of the truth they had been taught from time to time. Friendly discussion brought to a close a pleasant afternoon.
