Chide, from whom great deeds were expected, was not able to Rain a place. Ihe New Zealand champion, Amnion Ha, won (he richly-endcnved Sires' Produce Stakes in effortless fashion. Tho Doncasler Handicap was productive of a hiilliant finishing effort on the part of the. winner, Sir Chrystopher. He was badly placed in tho early stages and fifth from last entering the straight, but under the vigorous riding of his jockey (Munro) he unwound a dashing run, which carried him to victory by half-a-lengtli.
