ANNUAL TOURNAMENT BEGINS. COMMENCEMENT OF DOUBLES. Tho 27th annual tournament of the Auckland Croquet Association was commenced yesterday in fino weather. The proceeds will be devoted to the earthquake relief fund. Play was commenced in tho championship doubles and handicap doubles competitions, senior grade matches being decided on the Mount Eden lawns and junior matches on tho Carlton lawns.
