SALE FOR EARTHQUAKE FUND.
UNTRUE REPRESENTATION MADE,

A charge of vagrancy was made against Alfred Graham, aged 65, in the Police Court to day. It was stated that accused solicited contributions by falsely representing that tickets which he offered for sals were in aid of the earthquake relief fund. It was also stated that accused had 5000 tickets printed, which he sold round the town. He was sentenced to three mopths' imprisonment.
